Lens dislocation with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in Marfan syndrome: a case report
-
Abstract
One case of Marfan syndrome complicated with bilateral lens dislocation and retinal detachment in the left eye was treated with vitrectomy and intraocular silicone filling. Postoperatively, the patient was kept in the face-down position. The visual acuity was improved, the retinal detachment was resolved and the hiatus was closed well after surgery. Surgical treatment should be performed immediately after the retinal detachment occurs in patients with Marfan syndrome. For the choice of lens surgery and retinal detachment surgery, the degree of lens dislocation, the location of retinal hiatus and the extent of retinal detachment should be comprehensively considered.
