Long noncoding ribonucleic acid HOXD-AS1 is widely expressed in different tissues and organs,which plays a significant role in the incidence and development of different diseases. Nevertheless, the underlying mechanisms may considerably vary. In this article, the mechanisms underlying the role of HOXD-AS1 in different diseases were reviewed, aiming to investigate the regulatory mechanism, role and pathway of HOXD-AS1 in multiple diseases.
