Abstract: At present, the focus of prevention and control of COVID-19 in China has shifted to prevention and treatment of severe and critically ill cases. Medical staff has constantly adhered to the principle of “People First, Life First” and the people-oriented concept, and spared no effort to treat all patients. In special populations, such as children, pregnant women, women during perinatal period and hemodialysis patients, their specific physiological, psychological or pathological features have brought significant challenges to prevention and treatment of COVID-19. The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University has integrated the advantages of multiple specialties, accumulated valuable experience in individualized treatment of COVID-19 for special population in the pattern of in-hospital coordination and multi-disciplinary cooperation, discussed and formulated corresponding diagnosis and treatment regimens.
