Abstract:
Objective: To discuss the ability of color Doppler sonography in screening biliary complications following liver transplantation. Methods: Three hundred and twelve patients who underwent orthotopic liver transplantation in our hospital were retrospectively reviewed. The cholangiography was chosen as gold standard, the ability of color Doppler sonography in screening biliary complications was assessed by comparing with cholangiography. Results: The diagnosis data of sonography and cholangiography were collected in 60 patients who had cholangiography and sonographic examinations before cholangography. The interval between color Doppler sonography and cholangiography was no more than 2 weeks. The sensitivity of sonography for diagnosing biliary strictures, leaks, sludge, stones were 82%,80%,40%, and 100%, respectively. And the specificity were100%,100%,84%,96%, respectively. Conclusion: Color Doppler sonography is a sensitive and specific method for the detection of biliary complications.
