Abstract:
Objective:Take Ankylosing spondylitis(AS) as an example to approach the manipulation and feasibility of GenCLip—a gene mining software in searching disease-related genes. Methods:According to the results from genomewide cDNNA chips, use GenCLip to search AS disease-related genes among genes prescreened. Results:Using two keywords “fibrosis” and “inflammation”,author set a network and found two related genes with ankylosing spondylitis. The two new genes are RGS1 and CCL3L3. We have confirmed that the RGS is an important biological marker in undifferentiated spondyloarthropathy, and the effect of CCL3L3 in AS remains to be studied further. Conclusions:GenCLip—a gene mining software may be a value and new mathod to find related disease gene based on the gene array data, its dependability should be validated.
