Abstract: Sentinel lymph node（SLN） biopsy technology is feasible in stomach cancer surgical department．Although most of these researches were retrospective studies， lacked unified inspection methods and criterions，had little guiding significance in advanced gastric cancer，and existed some critical issues such as false negative as well as false SLN，there were some new ideas：the application of SLN biopsy technology combined with laparoscope technology in early gastric cancer，the research of secondary sentinel lymph node（SSLN） biopsy technology in advanced gastric cancer as well as the study of fast and accurate pathologic biopsy technology in the process of operation．
