Rare diseases, as the name suggests, are diseases with extremely low incidence rates. Although these conditions are not as widely recognized as common diseases, they can profoundly impact patients and their families. The health and well-being of the population have always been essential components of national development. Therefore, conducting in-depth research on rare diseases and improving their diagnosis and treatment standards represent an indispensable responsibility for the medical community, and constitute an important topic that must not be overlooked. In this context, Journal of New Medicine is organizing a special issue on "Rare Diseases" aimed at gathering leading experts to promote academic exchanges and innovation in this field, ensuring that every research breakthrough becomes a beacon lighting the way for patients with rare diseases. We cordially invite experts and scholars from related fields at home and abroad to jointly discuss cutting-edge advances and clinical practices in the diagnosis techniques and treatment methods of rare diseases. We sincerely look forward to your attention and participation, and together, let us contribute to improving the health and well-being of patients with rare diseases.
